Deena & Karim
We’re Getting Married!
A Match Made In Heaven
Our Story
We met on Hinge in August of 2019—just two people from different parts of the world whose paths somehow crossed in New York City. Karim is from Beirut, Lebanon, Deena is from Savannah, Georgia, and yet something about our connection felt instantly familiar.
Our first date was sweet in every sense of the word: ice cream and a walk through Central Park. It was simple, unhurried, and full of conversation. By the time we reached the end of the path, it already felt like the beginning of something special.
Since that day, we’ve shared years of laughter, learning, and love, building a life together that blends our stories, cultures, and dreams. What started as a digital hello has become the most meaningful part of our lives.
ابتسمت الأيام فالتقينا

We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.

The Bride
A short snippet about the bride (written by the groom)
Deena Darby was born and raised in Savannah, GA where she enjoyed ballet and going to the local beach with her family and friends. She made her way North to pursue architecture at Syracuse University before moving to New York City to start her first job. It was at that time that she met Karim, and they started dating. Deena eventually pursued her Master’s Degree in City Planning at MIT. During her free time, Deena organizes and participates in multiple Design Justice organizations. She also likes reading, embroidering, and hanging out with Karim and her friends.
The Groom
A short snippet about the groom (written by the bride)
Karim Diab was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, before moving with his parents, Hassana El Tannir + Mahmoud Diab to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After attending Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri, Karim moved to NYC to complete his Residency and Fellowship in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, respectively. In his free time, Karim enjoys cooking traditional Lebanese food, playing (and winning) pickleball, reading science fiction and of course, hanging out with Deena (even while she lives in Cambridge, MA).
